What does event photography cost in Singapore?

LiveStudios’ photography-only rates range from S$200 to S$800 per hour, depending on the photographer tier. This guide explains those tiers, what is included and which event requirements change the final quotation.

Last checked: August 2026. LiveStudios publishes four photography-only rates: S$200/hr for an Event Photographer, S$400/hr for a Senior Photographer, S$600/hr for a Master Photographer and S$800/hr for a Founding Photographer.

Every photography-only tier includes a curated set of usable event photographs, normal next-day delivery through Google Photos and freedom for the client to use the delivered photographs for marketing, PR, social media, websites, advertising, reports, print and internal communications. Same-day delivery, including selected photographs supplied during the event, is available by special request.

What Changes an Event Photography Quotation?

Photographer tier

The main photography-only price difference is the tier booked. The appropriate tier depends on the event’s lighting, profile, delivery deadline and whether photographs enter a live display or printing workflow.

Coverage hours

Coverage should follow the moments the client needs photographed. For a dinner event, that may include guest arrival, table photographs, speeches, awards and entertainment. For a conference, it may include registration, keynote sessions, breakouts, networking and sponsor branding.

Number of photographers

One photographer normally covers up to about 300 guests when the activity is in one area. Add another photographer when important sessions happen at the same time, the event uses separate rooms or locations, or a detailed compliance shot list must be completed alongside creative coverage.

LiveStudios generally prefers a light briefing instead of a long run sheet. Tell the photographer about special one-time moments such as confetti, a cake presentation, an important flower presentation or a surprise. If every item on a detailed checklist must be recorded, consider adding a Senior Photographer to handle that list while the more experienced photographer remains free to anticipate unscripted moments.

Delivery deadline

Normal delivery is a curated Google Photos gallery the next day. If a marketing, PR or media team needs selected photographs during the event or the full selection on the same day, request that workflow when asking for the quotation so the team and delivery route can be prepared.

Live services and production crew

Live Projection and Instant Prints require a Senior Photographer or above and additional on-site equipment or crew. A Digital Guestbook adds a Wacom pen display, a dedicated assistant, live projection, photocard prints and a digital collection.

Setup time

For photography-only coverage, the photographer normally arrives about 30 minutes before the booked start. Printing or another special setup normally requires arrival about two hours before the event so the equipment and venue connection can be prepared.

What Is Included in Photography-Only Coverage?

  • The booked photographer tier for the confirmed coverage hours.
  • A curated selection of usable JPEG photographs, with duplicates, test frames and technically unsuitable images removed.
  • Normally about 50-80 usable photographs per hour, depending on the programme, guest interaction, repeated moments and concurrent activities.
  • Next-day delivery through a Google Photos gallery.
  • Freedom to use the delivered photographs wherever the client needs them, including marketing, PR, social media, websites, advertising, reports, print and internal communications.

Specialised retouching, additional photographers, videography, Live Projection, Instant Prints, photocards, a Digital Guestbook and urgent delivery are separate requirements and should be stated when requesting a quotation.

How to Compare Event Photography Quotations

An hourly rate is only useful when the included service is clear. Compare:

  • Which photographer tier or named photographer is being booked.
  • How many photographers and assistants will attend.
  • Whether coverage can handle simultaneous rooms or sessions.
  • When the photographs will be available and how urgent selections are delivered.
  • Whether the client may use the delivered photographs across all required channels.
  • Whether live display, printing, design, distribution or videography is included.
  • What backup equipment and on-site technical support are available.

A lower hourly rate is not automatically poor value, and a higher rate is not automatically the right choice. The useful comparison is whether the photographer and workflow match the event’s actual risks and deliverables.
