Did a shoot for a German Luxury Magazine called “How to spend it” shooting for a horological (timepieces) journalist covering the Tempus of Time exhibition hosted by the Hour Glass in Singapore. He gave me a crash course on horology and how this exhibition in Singapore is significant as it’s the one of 3 exhibitions around the world annually. The shoot included an interview with Michael Tay, the Executive Director of The Hour Glass.
EA (Electronic Arts) held it’s party showcasing a to-be-released game called Rock Band on the Xbox 360. Guests were invited to the top of Singapore at the Swissotel helipad.
Due to a limitation to the number people allowed on the helipad (74th floor) at any one time, the guests had to be split to have some hands on the games on the 69th floor. I ran up and down so many times I could have done the entire vertical marathon.
It’s the leap year and we celebrated with Macquarie who got us back to do the wireless event photography once again this year. This time it was held in the lawn at Rasa Sentosa.
The girls were there early to make sure things were ready to roll.
Some of them took a real effort to dress up in the Tropicana theme.. in Fruits!!
They got in some performers including fire dancers which put up a spectacular display..
Hosted by Cortina Watch, the launch was held at the JetQuay Terminal at Changi for the CIP (Commercially Important People). Those who want more information can go to the Porsche Design official website. It was a great setup as usual arranged by Mercury MC and Magdalene See from Fly Entertainment was the bubbly emcee for the evening.
Myself and David took a chance to take a shot with the Porsche Cayman S before the crowd came in.
Guests mingled and chatted in the lounge area first.
When they revealed new range, some of the lucky guests had a chance to examine the $200k+ watch up close.
I came from a college that was really strong at Dragon Boat racing, but I didn’t have the opportunity to participate in the sport then. A good 15 years later, I had the priviledge not only to shoot this sport which is not only a great workout, but a really good sport for camaraderie, team work and team spirit.
A couple of serious dragonboaters decided to organise this relay to promote the sport and invited many corporations to join, this included many of our clients like HSBC,UBS, Shell, Jones Lang Laselle and some more which I may have missed. Teams turned up early in enthusiasm for their warmups and a quick introduction to dragonboating for the first timers.
Dr Lam Pin Min was invited as a guest of honour and everyone was happy to know that he used to do dragonboating when he was in college. (National Junior College I heard).
There were a few expat teams who took part as well including a Canadian and a German team.
Everyone was pumped with energy as they prepared for the first leg.
SMRT was given a chalet at the Singapore Airshow for being a sponsor. For the 4Â trade days, their valued clients were invited to join them to watch the aeriel display within air-conditioned comfort. I decided to drop by today to say hi to the friends at SMRT and give them some support.
One of the lucky SMRTs clients who posed in front of the A380 Airbus
Mentor Minister Lee Kuan Yew made a short visit to the airshow. Oh and to the photography buffs out there, that’s a Nikon D3 I’m holding in the mirror.. more about that later..Â
To many of my corporate clients who are looking at more interesting ideas for events, I found the Flying Club http://theflyingclub.sg which can offer plane rides for guests and event have the hangar as a venue for events. It’s located at Senai which is just 15 mins away from Singapore.
The following will be for the photography buffs who’s keen on finding out more about the Nikon D3.

The presenters were particularly entertaining as their wit and candid jokes put smiles on the guests’ faces, as winners were announced.
Singapore Idol Hady Mirza put up a performance for the guests.
One of the winners is Mr Ho Kwon Ping for CEO of the year (Market Capitalisation of $500m or more).
Did a quick photoshoot for the new Executive Sous Chef at the Singapore Marriott.

It’s great to join the WORLDHOTELS family again for their annual conference. Last year we were with them in Hamburg and this year, it’s the charming city of Madrid. A few hundred hoteliers from the member hotels of WORLDHOTELS attended and it was like a huge reunion seeing many familiar faces and catching up with old friends.
Michael Ball started the conference off followed by a host of speakers
Some of them signed our digital guestbook
I expected it to be a standard, not too exciting dinner .. but kudos to the organising committee, everybody enjoyed the dinner and had lots of fun! They arranged for photocard holders like these to keep the photocards taken during the night.
A mobile studio was setup as well to let guests take the photos as they walk in for registration.
Live projection of the photos entertained the guests as candid and posed shots appeared of themselves and their friends.
